Next week is NOS test Today wake up by a SMS at 8 something. Gosh my head hurt so much maybe I had a late night ( sleep at 1.30am). My classes don’t start until 11.30am so I thought have some time to sleep. During my math class my “lead” for my mechanical pencil After my math class I go to the stationery shop to buy “lead” and I brought a 0.7 HB instead of 2B. I was been told by the shop keeper that HB is darker ( she said she think is darker ). Before I leave I asked the shop keeper whether they sell headphone for computer and she said no but there are one in the lost and found cabinet. She say I can have it so I take it home. As soon as I reach home I tested the headphone and it really good a quality headphone maybe because it is a LG headphone. Next week is Network opreating test and there are 2 assignment will release next week A Lawyer Jokes to share …. 1 One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the road side. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. "Why are you eating grass?", he asked one man. "We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "Oh, come along with me then." "But sir, I have a wife with two children!" "Bring them along! And you, come with us too!", he said to the other man. "But sir, I have a wife with six children!" the second man answered. "Bring them as well!" They all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limo. Once underway, one of the poor fellows says, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you." The lawyer replied, "No problem, the grass at my home is about two feet tall." A Lawyer Jokes to share …. 2 A lawyer and an engineer were fishing in the Caribbean. The lawyer said, "I'm here because my house burned down, and all I owned was destroyed by the fire. The insurance company paid for everything and I'm using some of the insurance money for this trip." "That's quite a coincidence," said the engineer. "I'm here because my house and all my belongings were destroyed by a flood, and my insurance company also paid for everything." The lawyer looked somewhat confused. "How do you start a flood?" he asked. Make use of the comment tool | | \ / V Tuesday, September 07, 2004

Melbourne and RES Ball Sorry, It has been quite some time I didn’t blog , I was too busy this lately . On 3rd August my unit mate Celebrate my one month belated birthday (last month during my birthday it was holiday and I was in bundoora with my brother ). They are really nice to come up with a chocolate cake ( my fav ) and birthday card that signed by every one . Last Saturday my friend has organized a trip to Melbourne. We rent a bus and there are 35 international students going (of cause if the more people the cheaper the fare). We have went to St Kilda beach , Victoria Market , South bank , Federal square and last and not least China town ( little burke street ). On that day I had meet up with my brother and he joined our trip . We do have a good time but too bad that we need to go back to Ballarat 7 pm because there are a Res Ball in the University ( student union building ). I had brought the Res Ball ticket and it is worth $35. The reason why I go to Res Ball mainly because of peer pressure ( all my friend is going ) and My unit mate ( Jaye )reckon that I should go and have an experience since it is one of the biggest event in the whole year . The ball was quite different from what I thought as it requires us to dress up in formal wear and the ball pretty much like drinking and dancing only . I don’t really enjoying the ball maybe because I don’t drink and I don’t know how to dance. Almost all the time I am sitting in the corner with some drunken idiot. There Res ball has occupied the whole union building and there are two floors, there are life band in first floor and a DJ in second floor. I think that the things that catch my attention most that night is the weird dressing close up magician. He had performed a few tricks in front of me and it really amuses me. I leave early that night at 1.30am (the ball don’t end until 5am) Here is some of the picture that I took in Melbourne and the ball. ( there are a few more picture in my friend camera , I will post it as soon as she send the picture to me ) Monday, July 26, 2004
The Sovereign Hill and Picture Today just I had just cleaned a part of my room and it look better now = ^__^ = Oh that day on Sunday I went to Sovereign Hill, The trip is not too bad and instead I am enjoying the trip. My ticket is sponsor by the BISC because of my involvement and on that day I and Johnny(my Chinese friend that also have a active involvement in the BISC) suppose to helping the BISC to show the Chinese international around but they seem to more at ease to go by them own group. .. Sigh. Well it might be a good thing for me because I can have more time exploring the Sovereign Hill by my self but that day I ended up hanging around with Johnny and Ci Ci (one of the international student from china). That day weather is really sucks, it is freaking cold and it is raining the whole day (of cause the rain have stop for a while before it start to rain again) The First thing that we see in the Sovereign Hill is horse and follows by an old town that looks like Wild West (where in the movie people use to have a gunslinger competition). There are a lot of people wearing old costume (I think is Britain old costume). There are a lot of shop in this town such as candy shop , candle shop ,pottery , bakery , Street Theatre and more ( I am not going to list them all). Then we went to a lot if place such as engine room that power by some old engine, I think the engine room generate power for the gold mining process such as pumping air from the surface to underground. I also had tried the famous gold panning but I can’t get any gold (not even gold dust) but my friend johnny found 3 gold dust , maybe I am not patient enough. I also went to gold mine tour that in the underground and It is very intresting as I learned the gold mining process . Some of the Sovereign Hill workers have guns and it really freak me out when one of the old man that wearing a police costume suddenly open fire to a young man because the young man did't have a gold digging license. (not a real guns of cause but the guns really sound very real) Here is some of the picture that I took ^__^ Click to enlarge ![]() ![]() ![]() I already started my second semester last week. Sorry for didn’t write for so long time because I was too busy but I will try to update this blog site as frequent as possible. I had watched Shirek 2 and Spiderman 2 and it quite nice (of cause I watch it on DVD). Some of the new international student had bring a lot of DVD and VCD ( now I will not be bored ^__^ . Currently I am watching a Chinese Drama Series call The ‘W’ Wesley ‘files . Just now playing UNO (card game) with some of international friend from china and hong kong... It has been along time did't play a card game. well it already 12.30 here , I better go to sleep .... Victor Wong Sunday, July 18, 2004
Another busy week for me I am quite busy this few days. On Wednesday I had attended the trivia night. But there are only few students attending this event because there are no food provided so a lot of the student feels it is pointless to come, there are not more than 30 students coming and I forced to participated the trivia night. It is a night that has a lot of games and quiz. The quiz tests the international student the knowledge about Australia. The question vary from “who is the Prime minister of Australia” , “How many state and territory Australia have and so on . There are also a lot of games between the question such as Chubby bunny , hand stand , imitate a famous person and singing national anthem. When playing the third game (imitate a famous person) we were given sometime to think and I had suggested that do Michael Jackson moonwalk as I think that would be famous enough that all the people know . My group thinks it is a good idea and I should do it because it is my idea. I didn’t have any choice and I ended doing a Moonwalk in front of 30 international student… quite embarrass actually but I won the first place and I had a cup as a prize , I am happy with it ^__^ On Thursday I get to eat free lunch at bistro because of my involvement in the BISC (Ballarat International Student Club) but I didn't eat because my friends need to pay in order to eat there. So I ended up eat hot pot for lunch with my friends. At night I eat hot pot again because I joined the new batch of international student that china. Today I also changed my elective from E-marketing to Business information system because my friend just finishes this unit last semester and the good news is she has a text book that can borrow to me. The luck is not on my side as I found out that I have too many clashed between lectures and tutorials and I couldn't take this unit this semester. I had to change tomorrow (on Friday) On Friday I didn't do much besides changing my elective from Business Information System to Internet Design. I had fixed my entire timetable and successfully enrolled in the unit. This few day I also helped the new International Student that on res to set up IP address in their computer so that they can have Internet Access in their room. This Sunday I need to bring a tour (Internationals student)to Sovereign Hill. I had to admit that the enter fee is quite expensive and I can see why out of 120 new international students there are only 20 students going to Sovereign Hill. Anyway my enter fee is cover by the BISC, That mean I don't need to pay ^__^ . My task is to show them around in the Sovereign Hill but to tell you the truth I haven't been to Sovereign Hill and The ISP staff ask me to just pretend I been to there as my actual task is more like controlling them and don't let them to split . I tell you more after the Sovereign Hill trip. Cheer , c'ya s 549 words
