For the last six month I had been busy with studies and assignment. In the last semester I had took 3d modeling unit. The assignment is required us to create scene and I had chooses an out door scene entitle back alley. At first I don't really know what scene I should choose and do but I really want to try model a car that why I choose outdoor scene. Then I limit my scope by selecting back alley.  

The model that I choose to model is a classis car fiat 500 and item that are common in a back alley such as dumpster, rubbish bin and fire escape stair. Most of the model is kinda easy to model except the classis car. For that model I had spent more than 60 hours and three attempts on it and the result better than expected. Although it is better than expected but I am still not happy with it because of the limited time that I have and I had wasted two attempts (40 hours).  

I had added some of the detail as I creating the scene and mostly was the detail such as newspaper on the floor and graffiti on the wall. The most important thing in the scene is the arrangement of the model because of the limited time and the model that I selected to model.

To be honest I don't really feel like Chinese New Year at
all and it true what they say Chinese New Year wouldn't be
same without family and friends.

This lately I has been playing flyff but instead of levelling I
been doing business in the game. About 4 or 5 days ago I
had only 1 millions penya now I have 9 millions penya. I wish
those were really money. Too bad I cannot spend those on
this Chinese New Year.

Guess what i did in past 3 days during my spare time except
playing flyff ?. I was brewing my on  php code. This is the
php scrip that I wrote using gd libraries ( see below) . It is a
lapping of words on to a picture to become image when they
reach the client side.

You can usually see this on others people signature in a forum or
security code when you register a service on the web. They
all use the same technique to do it so it is pretty straight
forward.

I had add a counter function and random quote and random
prefixed position to it and I am still working on it hope it will
be better. The reason I make this signature because I saw
someone had it as their signature on a forum and I think it is
so cool. Usually what they have is the one that showing the
IP address and what browser they are using and that about
it. I personally think that is dumb I mean like who want to see
something that they already know?. The the signature
generated image should be more personal like random
personal quote from the author it self. It would be good idea
if you guys give me some idea how to improve it by posting on
comment.

 It seem like a lot of people interested on the password cracking topic
 so I decided to discuss it. Well we better start with the definition of
hacking. Hacking can be defined as unauthorized use, or attempts
to circumvent or bypass the security mechanisms of an information
system or network.  

I far as I know there was two types attacking method to gain access.
The first one is the popular type which is dictionary attack. The
program will try the password one by one from a password and
username list. The reason why this will work because a lot of people
 use common password such as 1234, qwert , bob , apple or any
simple words that can get from a dictionary. To prevent this attack
 strong password with combination of alphabets and numeric is
required. Please refer to the previous post to learn more of complex
password creation. I don’t really like to type again everything.

The second attack is the brutal force. This attacking methods
guarantees access simply because of it’s method. It try password
one by one from aaa , aab , aac until it cracks and it only matter
of times. So the more complex password would take longer time.
The prevention is to limit the wrong password trials but it is on the
 server side / admin control. So if a admin is stupid enough the it
 will open a hole for the hacker to attack them and there are nothing
for user to do except setting a long complex password so that It would
 take a long time to crack and hopefully the hacker will give up
before they cracker the password.

I heard that a lot of people account has been hacked and from
what I know it mostly because of they didn’t set a strong password.
I had come across program that hack game account and I already
tested the program it really works. And yes I test it with my own
account and password because I don’t want to go so low to hack
in to other people account. Mostly simple password would be the
first to be cracker so for the third time make sure you set a strong
password.

Happy new year 2006. It has been a long time since I updated this site
so I decided to update on the first of 2006. Well after my exam I pretty
much on holiday and I have tried to find a part time jobs but the jobs
 availability in the place that I live is kinda low so it is hard for me to find
a job especially all student rush in to the workforce during this summer
holiday.  

This lately I started to play mmorpg because I am too bored .
Well I tried to find a worth playing mmorpg and I tried a few such as
martial heroes, conquer online and flyff. Well the verdict is flyff is the
best out of the three mmorpg that I played. I pretty much deleted
martial heroes and conquer online on the same day that I install.
Both are equally sucks  

Martial heroes are a full 3D online martial arts game describing like
the one in the martial arts novel and becoming a hero to fight the evil.
It kinda like Chinese martial arts but the set is in martial art world.
The story line and game play is kinda good but the draw back is
the navigation and the chatting system sucks. To learn a skill or
move you need a manual or master to teach you and it also allow
 relationship such as brotherhood and master pupil. The graphic
is merely average so I stopped at level 15. I think it is waste of time
 if you cannot interact properly with others player. If you like martial
art world then feel free to take a look

Conquer online had a good game play and feature especially good
 pk system but the draw back is it is a 2d game and the graphic
sucks. So It is just wasting my time to reviewing it. If anyone
interested to take a look just google it.  


The third review is flyff. It is stand for fly for fun. It is the first
mmorpg that offer flying feature. yes it is on a 3D client and the
best part is it is free for life. If you like ragnarok online and rose
online then you will like this one as well. The game play of flyff is
 similar to Ragnarok online in many of its aspect such as fighting,
jobs, and resting. The battle system is just point and click

You can fly when you reach level 20 and it definitely worth it. The
graphic is very good ( kinda like ragnarok online but it is 3D ,
and I personally think that the closed thing that you get if you
waiting for Ragnarok online 2 ( which is 3D ) ) . In flyff if you change
your armor your appearance will be difference. Although this lately
it has a lag problem  but it gonna be fixed soon I believe thus it is
really worth a try.  The only drawback is it has awful lots of quest
to be done and sometime it kinda painful just doing the quest. Out
of this three I like this the most because it allow the player to fly
and it has nice graphic and with reasonably good gameplay.

it seem like alot of people intrested in security topic I will review on
that in this few days when I am free.

PASSWORDS

Passwords are like underwear. Don't Leave Them Lying Around !!!

Passwords - No doubt the one most forgotten thing in anyone's life time is their
password. So why do we need passwords and why should I have to change it so
often?? "It's because the IT guys make me change it" right???? Well, I'm sure it
would appear that way to many of you and that the time you have to change your
password is the time that you really need to login straight away and you don't have
time to think of a new password. Isn't it always the way? I can assure you, it's
the same for all of us. Even those of us in IT.

I can actually tell you from experience that it's even worse for those people in IT
because of the sheer number of passwords that we need to remember. For most
of you, you might only have to remember maybe 3 or 4 passwords. Well for many
people in IT, it is more like up to 20 different passwords in some cases. I can count
at least 15 different passwords that I use myself.

So why do we need passwords?
A definition of Password is: - "A secret series of characters that enables a user to
access a file, computer, or program." Think of your password like the keys to your
house or your car. Without it, you cannot legally get in. Of course there are ways of
getting around locks and passwords but there are things you can do to make it as
difficult as possible for people to get around your password.

Because we all require different programs, different access and different services,
the use of user ids and passwords has become the means by which these differing
requirements can be met. The original purpose of the login or user id was actually
for system accounting. It was a means of being able to work out how much time
people used on a system so they could be billed. But that is not so much of an
issue these days. So a user id to identify a person on the system combined with
a passwords enable the delivery of systems and services required by each
individual user. The purpose of the password is to stop other people gaining
access to your services and data. Just like the keys to your house or car.

Picking a strong password? When choosing a new password here are a few things NOT to do:

-Don't use your user id as your password
-Don't use easily guessed words (eg apple, monday, password)
-Don't use things like kids names, the dogs name
-Never leave your password written down near your computer

Now for some good news. Here are some hints to consider when setting your password:

-Use a mixture of letters and numbers
-Use upper and lower case letters
-Use some of the keyboard symbols. Eg @, $, !, ^
-Use numbers to replace letters. For example, the letter O can be replaced by a 0 (zero).
So Monday would become m0nday.
-Here are some other substitutions: i ? 1, e ? 3, s ? 5, b ? 8 Use the first letter of each
word of a phrase. For example, "I really do hate Monday" could become "1rdhM"
-The longer your password is, the harder it is to crack or guess

Here is an example of a password that would be very difficult to guess and would
take a long time for a password cracker to work out: "YrUhere2Day" which translates
to "Why are you here today". So please remember, "Passwords are like underwear,
Don't Leave Them Lying Around" and please do not tell anyone else your password.

¡§Biar ne ¡§ I been busy for the past 3 month . There are a lot of thing going
on in my life but too bad I been busy with assignment and didn¡¦t really have
time to post and share what been going on. Well instead of go longwinded
describing all the detail it is better to post the picture that I taken this in this
few months. People said that picture can said more than a thousand word
but difference people interpreter picture differently. This two pictures was taken
on the winter appeal night and it supposes to be a night for charity but I ended
up forgetting to bring my donation. This is my new friends and they are from
china shen Zhen . They just arrived early in 2nd semester and they live near
my unit.  ( I am not really familiar with their name yet )




Winter has come ~!! It is snowing in Ballarat . Too bad the snow is not that thick
if not I can build a snowman but than it didn¡¦t stop us to play snow ball fight.
Well come to think of it. It really not really that fun because it really cold out
there and my hand were freezing just because of holding a few pieces of snow.

I also had went to Wendouree lake ( the lake that located somewhere in Ballarat)
this is the first time going to the famous lake although I been here for almost 2
year. Beside visiting the lake we also went to the botanical garden that near
the lake. The garden really beautiful too bad I don¡¦t have enough space to

Me and my friends were celebrating Mid Autumn Festival in Melbourne. We
spend two night in Melbourne and the first day we went to a Karaoke because
one of my friend birthday. I don¡¦t really enjoy Karaoke because I really dont
know how to sing and it sucks. This is the second I went to Karaoke and it solely
because of my friend birthday. I remember the first time I went to one three
years ago also because of my Birthday and it sucks. I sat there for 2 hours
without doing anything. On that day I sworn not to go to Karaoke again but the
history seem to repeat it self. I didn¡¦t snap much picture in the Karaoke¡K.

On mid autumn festival I meet up with my brother and we went to crown casino
and see the fire in up-close. I also had see the fire last year but then my brother
friend haven¡¦t see it so we went to see it again. When I come back from Melbourne
I had some running nose, sore throat and fever but fear not the god has helped me
I recover quite fast after drinking some ginger water. Ginger water really helps
my sore throat (I heard it from someone said that it helps but then I reassure by
checking in the Internet my self)

Well during the lecture break I do have some spare time so I learned how to bake
a cake. This is the picture of that cake and I know it look ugly . Hey cut me some
slack this is the first time I bake a cake. Although it looks ugly but it is delicious.

The exam is over quite some time now and i had a hair cut now
my hair is short . I will post the picture below I had spend a week
at Rye ( somewhere near port sea) with my family. My parent
was here to come and visit me during this semester break. I
miss them so much and guess what the first thing that my parent
say to me when they saw me is “I am fat” . Well I might gain a
little weight without knowing it but hey I am not fat. Well we go
yamcha before going to Rye and gosh it was nice because I miss
yamcha so much. The Dim Sum was awesome.

My brother has give a DVD burner that he brought recently.
During our vacation at Rye we didn’t really go out much. Mostly
we just stay inside the resort watching TVB new series. Recently
I watched a few new TVB series that my brother burn for me.

there are two new student moved in to my unit . one of them is
from china Shenzhen so it really good since I don’t have to be so
bored. My parent has brought a new camera for me and finally I
have my own digital camera. It is 5 mega pixel and have 3
optical zoom. I gonna bring it with me to Melbourne tomorrow
to snap some photos. Today I just signed up for my subject
tutorial time. Luckily I didn’t have any clash between the subject
that I take and I do have some friends that coincidentally
taking the same subject.

Hit Statement
This pass few week my blog site get average and 20 visitor
all thanks to the Ragnarok content that I post recently. Did I
mention a lot of stranger added me to their msn just because
they wanted to ask me how to setup a RO server? This is not a site
for you to know how to setup a server (please do not email me). I
not being mean but come on , if only one stranger add it is ok but
more than 10 ? Imagine more than 20 people asking me how to
setup a server? Gosh how can I handle all of the question ? I had
receive about 10 email asking how to setup or build the server.

I already reply some of them but I gonna delete the others please
be considerate I am in the middle of Assignment due date and
exam is coming furthermore my blog site is not a place to ask
question about  the private server. The private emulator site has
it own forum. You can get all the support and information from
there. The thing  the I hate most is majority people that emails
me is the type of lazy people that just want to setup a private
server and do not want to search the net and expect me to provide
them a step by step guide. I don’t have so many times for writing
step by step guide for all the people but I am more than happy to
help if you encounter some problem during the installation. If you
don’t even bother search the emulator forum first I not going to
provide any help.

On last Saturday when I going to shopping I happened to bump into
a girl that from Malaysia (seremban) she is also living in campus and
all I know is she is doing master of business ( or something don’t
really remember anyway it is business related ). She had the same
name as one of my H2 classmate and guess who ? Lih yein .

I almost finish all my assignment
As mention this lately I been busy with my assignment and finally
I already hand in all except practical project. I could not finish my
CP660 network protocol all because of the Advance networking exam
that take place at the networking lab. Anyway it already pass and no
matter how upset I was it still already pass. Now on my hand I still
have one more assignment but luckily it almost finish.

My new Boot Screen
Yesterday I come across some really good wallpaper so I make it to
boot screen and I make it to Window XP boot screen for window The
theme is still the same Chobit , which I previous posted long ago
but this time the difference is it is a Cosplay picture instead
of anime picture. I found a lot of cosplay picture but this two picture
is the one that  I like the most . For those who do not know what is
chobit is i not gonna explain it again . i already explain in my previous
post .

I am well aware of this picture is very low quality and very small
because it mend  for boot screen so it is only 16bit in colour and
for demonstration purpose and to save bandwidth I had to resize it to
fit my blog. (I am not planning to release it)

Well at the same time my unit people and a few of people having a party
and as usual they all eat, drink, and listen to music. The thing that I hate
is when they drunk the spew all over and make the unit stink. Now the
whole unit is full of vomit smell and the great thing is the cleaner only
work Monday till Friday.

Another busy week for , This lately I don’t really do anything much except
assignment and setting up web server on my machine .  This week I miss
my badminton exercises which one only day that I get to move around …
I am too mentally tired because of all the assignment that going around.
Yesterday when while I am doing my weekly grocery shopping an old lady
asking for my help to grab a banana that far away. Without second thought
I helped her and I don’t know why but I my self also end up buying a
banana too. … (Don’t worry about just another weird story of mine)

Bad news everyone, I had confirm with my tutor that the uni firewall has
Block all the port thus hosting my own server is impossible unless I pay
for it which I will never. This lately I had been written some perl script to
create register pages for my RO web server but the script have some
limitation that which it don’t have data validation , I know this can be a
problem in the long run but in the mean while I don’t have any player yet
so I gonna rewrite when I have free time.

I had successfully repackage my own data.grf which make my RO server
different or at least unique compare to other server ( but it still under
heavy construction )

repack the data.grf will take a long time which and a lot of space in the
hard disc. I had planned to make a mini RO by deleting all the city except
prontera but it fail before I started , I just realise that I cannot just delete
the palette and sprite file that I don’t want the hexro.exe it self have
reference to the data in the data.grf . Therefore if I want to create it I
need to rewrite hexro which impossible due to my hectic life style. So far
all I can do is just can install customise sprite, headgear and maybe
weapon and card ( I haven’t try weapon and card yet)

which I make my self, I know although it don’t look like it but I can tell you

Finally an and design update on my site,
As you may notice that I had updated the design for this site and yes it
is similar to my brother and special thanks for him because he let me
to copy his design . Well I am too busy to make one so I take the easy
way. I make this design is because of my obsession toward the
LOST series that i mention before.....

Well this few week has been a busy week that I ever had. It was horrible
and it is not ended. I still struggling to finish all my assignment that all
come together. I don’t really have a good sleep this until today and I still
have two unfinished assignment on hand. What to do , I always know
that uni life was tough but I didn’t know that I was this tough. I heard it
before from my tutor in my tuition center ( kasturi ) that uni life was suck
. she said that in her days she also used to struggling and staying up
without sleep for a few week and she drank countless cup of coffee. Darn
, I miss high school life .

As mention this lately I spend almost all the time doing assignment and
there are nothing interesting happened. Well yesterday was as usual I
play badminton (Friday the sport day) and that pretty much about it.

My own WebServer 
I tried to setup a server out of no reason. I had do some modification to
my Window XP and turning it in to a server xp ( something like window
server ) . Well I go all the way installing PERL , PHP , MySQL serverl on
my machine and in the end knowing that it cannot access by people that
live outside of my uni . My university connection had a firewall that block
most of the port for security problem. And there go all my effort after
spending 2 hour (perhaps 3 hours if you count the installation time).
Well at least it works and it can access by people that are using my
uni network. I will try to find a way to by pass my uni firewall and open my
server to everyone but it mostly likely not since my uni firewall is so strong .
until then … wait for my good news (about my new website and server ).
I will try to ask my network tutor about it and hopefully he will know which 
port are opened for broadcasting . 

Today in Mc D
Guess what I had for lunch ? it was nothing exciting just Mc D . after I pay
the Mc D I carry the tray the place that I sit and guess what ? I accidentally
drop my drinks on the floor , The coke splash over on the floor that just
cleaned up by the cleaner ( actually it was my fault because I didn’t hold
the tray with two hand because my another hand was holding a green back
that full of groceries that I just brought from supermarket ) and I said in
my heart ARHH OH MAY GOD MY COKE . well the worker that serve my
clean it up and bring me a new one . Gee , Now that is a good services
and this is why Mc D was successful ( it is because of the good service )
at least it earn my respect .
